jj is having housewarming this sat... happy for the couple to get their new house and i guess their banquet is coming soon..

im very proud of new couple to get their wedding and house done together. I cant imagine where the mass amt of funds to vomit out when they wish to move on a new stage of life together.

House in s'pore wasnt as cheap as we think. Getting a old 3 room flat in a mature estate cost $180k. Unless the couple dun mind those abit far away area like punggol or sengkang.. a new 4 room flat is slightly cheaper, costing $160k+

the renovation cost? even the simplest things need a kitchen (sink, stove etc), toilet, lighting, taps and flooring. this is at least cost other 5 figures...

furnitures and appliances? haiz.. a fridge and washing machine is a must. other still can wait... havent include general neccessites such as plates, washing detergant/ powder, hangers etc..

wedding? Rom and chinese banquet? traditional family like mine is hard to skip the chinese banquet... this easily up to another 5 figure..

im very respect with my dad.. earn so little and yet trying to give us the best he can afford.. a shelter called home.. the luxury appliances such as tv and pc... kudos to daddy!!

a house is not easily built.. as what my mum love to say.. it built little by little.. not by overnight..
