Cookies..

I found this online. Good to keep a set for reference in future.

Simple Butter Cookies

  • 180g cake flour
  • 20g corn flour
  • 100g butter, room temperature
  • 80g caster sugar
  • 1egg yolk
  1. Sift together flours in a medium bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, add the sugar to the butter in 3 additions and beat till light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg until combined.
  4. Add in the flour mixture in 3 additions and stir with a spatula to form a soft dough .
  5. Double wrap dough in plastic wrap, flatten with a rolling pin and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 150°C.
  7. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  8. Remove dough from refrigerator and roll it out on a slightly floured working surface.
  9. Cut out dough with slightly-floured cookie cutters.
  10. Bake for 15-18 minutes, one tray at a time.
  11. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Yield : 35 cookies

My own reference:

  • Butter 200g
  • Sugar 100g
  • almond powder 50g
  • flour 320g
  • 1 egg
  1. Mix all ingredients together
  2. Place into fridge for 2hours
  3. 2hr later, roll over and mould shape
  4. Oven: 190 degree C, preheat 10min
