729th entry

It was two decade since i went to drive in movie. When i was very very young, i remember vividly that my uncle want to watch a drive in movie. He drove a mini van with another adult and all the young cousins will hide behind the van with a cover. We only pay two adult admission tixs and smuggled ard 8 - 10 childrens in!

It was fun as my uncle open the boot and we all sat under the moonlight to watch movie for free..

Yesterday, there is a drive-in movie event in singapore. Dear read somewhere from the newspaper and brought me there. It was an interesting concept as nowadays it is rarely seen in singapore. Both managed to talk with a man who seem to be one of the management. He told us that the screen is a actual cinema size and was sponsered by Epson. We can hear the sound thr the FM channel inside our car. Actually it is not only for car drivers. It also allocated for people by public transport. All we need to know the location of each event (each event held different location) before hand and had to pray hard it dun not rain. The organiser also had a big mat for ppl to sit if the vehicle is too far or for those visitors by public transport.

Both of us bought sandwiches from subway and dear bought along a bottle of frizzy drinks with ice. I brought some tibits that i leftover during CNY. We had a nice picnic mat too.. It was a windy evening as we were near the river location.

The only stupid problem is that the drive-in route (approved by LTA) is a disappointing. It is because many cars, including dear's had been scratched under the car. One black car was totally screwed as we can heard several big scratch screeches when he drove in. Ended up it struck and jammed the whole road for a long time.

Actually there is another route when we depart, it is a straight - no hump route which the LTA do not approved... Sound super stupid..

Overall, it was fun and interesting. Of cos it is a free event and hope we can participate it in future.
