28th entry - my japan trip

halo...
Im back from my trip. Sorry for letting u all waiting my blog. I had a busy time after i return to singapore. Lesson start immediately on the next day i return back. Did anyone miss me while im not ard? I did update abit in tokyo as im in the city for max 30 min usage. Wow, that update was my fastest time cos i had to type all the words using a japanese keyboard. At least i can update something over there for people who concern me to read my stuffs. Well, overall it is a nice trip and also this is a eye opening for me. I will share my story of the trip by entrying in blogs. Otherwise, i will need to repeat the same old story to everyone who ask me. A bit long.. happy reading....

day 1 - a nite in flight

I took an nite flight 11.35 pm to tokyo narita airport. The whole flight was about 6hr to 7 hrs. Though there is video watching but mostly the programs are in japanese (as i took an japanese airline). i manage to watch the only two english movies in the flight, which are "13 going on 30" and "laws of afflication" - hmmm.. im not very sure abt the title of the movie is correct or not. anyway, it was 2am in the morning and i soon got into sleep... very weird is the flight was very warm and stuffy. i wonder is it due to the seat i sat was next the window seat. Too far away from the ventilation? i not very sure. i hardly got into sleep as the seat was crampy and stuffy. When i manage to sleep, i was waken up for the breadfast at 4.30am (singapore time). That was the most earliest meal i even taken in my life... the breakfast was not bad... omelette with vegetables. after the meal, the flight was in japan area. wow, the whole flight was long and unbearable. im missing my comfortable bed in 1 nite time... hahaha

day 2 - a day in chiba : Hakone tour/ Owakundani Boiling Vallery/ Lake Kawaguchi

so after the custom, i met my tourguide. she is an singaporean but currently living and working in japan. We took a coach to the outskirt of the japan tokyo which is known as chiba from the tokyo narita airport. The jounery to the outskirt nearly took use 2 hrs. At least i can have a good rest on coach as it is more comfortable and cooling compare to the flight. my 1st trip is going to the lunch near a lake known as Lake Ashi. The view is very nice. This is my 1st time seeing a lake in a crater of an mountain. of cos, we had our full nice lunch next to the lake side. I can say able the food i ate in japan are very excellent. The menu she arranged for us for the whole trip is very good. We ate a traditional japanese lunch set consist of bento, hotplate and a lot of side dishes. i simply cannot finish them all. After the lunch, we took a cruise to cross over the Lake Ashi. This cruise is a bit special. This is a pirate ship. hahaha... yes, a pirate ship. i manage to get a glimspe of the mt fuji abit only plus the whole scenery of the Lake Ashi. Wow, this is beautiful... anyway i will visit mt fuji on the next day. after the pirate cruise ride, we went for to the next destination which is the Owakudani Boiling Vallery. It is famous for the egg to place in the spring for hard boil egg. The most special part is the eggs shell are black in colour. The myth of the eggs, saying a consumption of an black egg will prolong a life of 7yrs. Beside the view is very nice. it located 1050m above ground level. U can imagine the view is very beautiful and also a bit exhausted of climbing up the mountain... The sulphur smell of the boiling vallery is a bit thick and my bro was joking that there will confirm no snake will exist there... hahaha.. funny rite?

after that, we went to our hotel for dinner and unload our luggage. The speciaility of this hotel is there is a hot spring inside this hotel. It located near the bottom of the mountain and the water source is from there. The most funny part is there is a rule for the spring. We must wear the japanese summer suit - something like kiromo but it is a lighter and informal suit. This suit is for summer use as the summer weather there is hot. beside, we had to strip off our clothing and drip in spring nake. Of course there is one for men and other for ladies. However, we are abit weird as we dun have such culture in my country. However, it is a good experience. I went for a drip with a group of aunties before the dinner. the whole spring was so noisy due to us... hahaha... beside, we had a very traditional dinner, plus wearing the summer japanese suit. It was very good try as we will not had such experience in singapore. After the whole day of jounery, we went bed early. As early as singapore time 8.30am. However, im an nite owl, i didn't rest till midnite, watching their japanese local tv program.

day 3 - a day in Mt Fuji/ Tokyo Tower / Asajusa Kannon Temple/ Ginza
Well, i woke up early as singapore time 5.00am. Friends who know me well, understand that i will not wake up so early. It is because I went to the hot spring bath again since i will not experience that again after i left the Japan. The whole spring was empty due to early morning and i am very enjoying the whole spring bath by myself. Heehee.. After that, we had a traditional breakfast, consist of rice. I had never had rice for breakfast in my entire life... Nevertheless, the food was delicious and i enjoy much of the meal.

Next, the weather was super good, 29 degree c. This is a good weather to go to Mt Fuji. We took the coach, travelling about 30 min to the 5th Step of Mt Fuji (equal to 5th station) where the top location for the tourist coach to reach. There are more steps ahead (what i knew that there are 9th steps, wherea need to climb 9hr to reach there). The station is 2500m above ground level and the weather there was super cooling. I suspected the weather was around 18 to 19 degree C. A bit cold and windy. The fog at the summit was a bit foggy and i didn't manage to glimpse the summit at all.. A bit disappointed... nevertheless, i took a lof of photos over there. The view is magificence. This is the world famous sybmol of japan. People said that if we didn't go Mt Fuji, it mean u didn't go Japan at all... Plus, we shop ard the shops over there. Bought some local mochi where there only can get in station 5 shop. Most of all, the mochi cannot be also can be purchase over there. It must depend on the weather tpo allow the people to travel up tp station 5. Beside, there was a post staion for mails. My bro sent one postcard home but realising that the card didn't write our address after we left... err.. the card and the stamp is very nice. Photo of mt fuji... :( Luckily it was not very expensive, otherwise i will be very upset.

Next, we approach to Tokyo city. The view from suburb to city is very different. Buildings are getting taller and more cramps, plus traffic jams. We went to the Asakusa Kannon Temple. This is one of the oldest temple in Tokyo city. I was amazed with that traidional temple locating in a heart of the busy city. Outside are all commerical buildings where the temple is cramply located next to them. We did some praying and approach to the Nakamise Ave which along in the temple area. It is a long narrow street with full of souvenir and food shops. I bought a lot of cracker and sweets from there for mum. She love them...

After that, we went to Tokyo Tower. However, the weather was not very good. Raining and a bit foggy. Therefore, we didn't went to the observation view. Next we go ahead to the most famous shopping area known as Ginza. This is the area where most expensive stuffs can be purchase and the rent there was super high. Since i was raining, we manage to take 10 min walk plus taking pics before we left. On our way for dinner, we pass by the imperial palace but the whole street was dark. It was only 5.30pm in Tokyo and the whole sky was pitch dark. Didn't manage to have a good look at the palace. After a dinner at Taiwanese restaurant, we went back to our hotel. Immediately after we reach the hotel, we went walking ard the surrounding. This is the day of my previous entry, stating my bro was mad. a grp of travellers wanna to follow us ard and miss the time to go buying the batt. Amazingly, the city was very lively after the shops closed. We were nearly lose in the subway as we need to pass back the subway station to our hotel. Their subway staions are very confusing... luckily, we managed to return hotel and i got to use internet to update my blogs.

day 4 - a day in disneyland
It is my most impt day of my life. Since young, my bro and i wanna to go Disneyland. However, we are too poor to go hoilday at that time. We had a heavy breakfast at the 25th floor restaurant in the hotel. Next, we go to Disneyland. The whole scenery was ... WOW... very beautiful... I used to watch people's photos or video clip on their trip to disneyland. Now, we manage to stand in Disneyland... Our dreams had fuilfilled.... We went to a lot of theme land, fantasy land, westernland, toon world, tmr land and a lot and a lot.... We went to Splash mountain ride and bought a photo of our ride as we splash down. Though it was expensive, it was nice.... we didn't manage to walk all but cover most areas we wanted to go. Of cos we took a lot of photos and video clips to show to our parents who didn't managed to go. Most impt, we managed to see the parade with a good location. After that, shopping at the bazzar world make me nearly wanna to buy the whole disneyland back. However, my budget was not much, only bought a little. However, i brought the whole disneyland memories to Singapore. That was the most valuable things compare with the presents i bought.

Back in the hotel, we had buffet. I was so hungry as i skip my lunch to had more rides in disneyland. My bro was so surprise that i ate so much. Let me recall wat i had ate, 2 plate of chicken rice, plus veg, tofu, roast beef, roast lamb, chicken meat, a bowl of soup, fry fillet, tempura, fruits and ice cream. Wow.. i ate so much. After dinner, we must do packing cos tmr we will return singapore.

day 5 - my return trip back to singapore
Early in morning, We had our buffet breakfast. I also ate a heavy meal. This is where i had my best appetite throughout the 5 days in Japan. Spent 1 hr on breakfast... After that,w e went to the orchard. There was apple tree and grape plants. Wow... this is my 1st time seeing an apple tree and grape plants in my life. We were so excited.... wow... took a lot of pics... testing the fruits over there. Wow... the fruits are so sweet.... spent nearly one and half hr in that garden... hahaha...

After that, we went to downtown for the last min shopping. We went to JUSCO and had our bento lunch and short shopping spree... i didn't bought much but managed to get hold on the hello kitty cups (tat's mum wan) where singapore had stop selling anymore. So happy... After that, we went back to hotel to collect our luagges. It was time to go back to Narita airport. a bit sad but enjoy the whole trip. Took nearly 7hr flight back singapore.

Most surprisingly, my best friends call me up on the next morning... Hahaha... They must miss me badly...
